New 620m2 double storey residence including a third basement level for wine cellar and water utility space located within The Eye of Africa Golf Estate. The client’s wishes were to be as self-sustaining as possible, so the water utility space has been designed to harvet borehole water and treatment plant. The narrow site is located on top of one of the highest points within the estate with the shortest end of the site facing north. Given its orientation, the main bedrooms and living spaces were placed to the north of the site which also opens out onto the northern garden space and view of Johannesburg beyond.
