The Bouwmeester project required intelligent solutions to diminished space. The alteration project in Parklands saw a small property size and limited garden, which precluded any developments on a horizontal plane, the only way forward was up! By going vertical, we created a double-volume space over the living room and carved out an open studio for a home office and a guest suite. Further to the spectacular new rooms, lit up with clear, double-storey windows to allow for streaming in of natural light – we also touched up the kitchen and reanimated a small home with new life and light!
