This project, inherited from a previous architect’s design, underwent thoughtful modifications to accommodate budgetary constraints, resulting in a phased approach to its realisation. Phase 1 focused on the church sanctuary, where a simplified design was implemented to reduce costs while preserving the core vision. The sanctuary itself is an expansive, open space that beautifully frames views of the majestic Hout Bay mountains, creating a serene and uplifting environment. Future phases will introduce an extension that includes a Youth facility and a vibrant community space, arranged around a central courtyard to foster connection and engagement. The design ensures easy access from all sectors of the community, with both pedestrian and vehicle entry points along the main road, ensuring the space is welcoming and inclusive. Through thoughtful planning and phased development, this project not only meets the needs of the immediate congregation but also provides a lasting resource for the broader community.
